One of the first things you’ll want to do after your blog is installed is META tag optimization. Check your META tags to be certain that they are optimized for search engines. Use the tool below to analyze your META title, description, keywords, robots and much more. It also gives you some really good information on keyword density, and loads of valuable information for website optimizations. This search engine optimization tool uses the same spider technology as the search engine spiders.

One of the first plugins you’ll want to install in your WordPress blog is the All In One SEO Pack plugin for search engine optimization. This will help you get your meta tags set up correctly.
Some features:
- Automatically optimizes your titles for search engines
- Generates META tags automatically
- Avoids the typical duplicate content found on WordPress blogs
- For WordPress 2.3 you don’t even have to look at the options, it works out-of-the-box. Just install.
- You can override any title and set any META description and any META keywords you want.
- You can fine-tune everything
- Backward-Compatibility with many other plugins, like Auto Meta, Ultimate Tag Warrior and others.
Let me know if this tool is useful. If you like it, please bookmark it below.

I use All In one SEO pack for all my blogs and i am very happy with it. Its easy to use i have had no problem till now. But i have been reading on some blogs that “Platinum SEO pack” is better then All in One SEO. Have ya tried Platinum SEO Pack ?

I tried all in one seo and platinum seo pack, i think platinum has more options, so might not be as newbie friendly. all in one seo works for me.

When it comes to optimizare seo and seo services there are only a handful of companies who really know what they're doing. Only these know what content is all about, fixing site issues, URL canoniclization and rewrites and getting you a lot of links.

Good plugin, except you can't modify category meta tags.

I believe the WordPress plugin Platinum SEO Plugin is far superior to the All in One SEO Pack due to the fact that you can just do more! Below are a few of the features of the platinum seo pack that I like:
• use advanced title rewrite
• add canonical url's
• adds the noodp meta tag
• adds the noydir meta tag
• nofollow external links on homepage
• noindex Rss feeds including comment feeds
• noindex comment pages of posts
• noindex date based archives
• Use categories for meta keywords
• add additional headers for pages and posts
• Autogenerate descriptions
• nofollow archive listings
• nofollow category pages
• nofollow tag pages
• nofollow search result pages
• log important events
• nofollow registration links
• track permalink changes as well!
As a Florida SEO Company we have worked with many different WordPress websites and have found this to be the best SEO plugin ever made for WordPress SEO!!!

I personally use all in one on all my blogs. If I am really trying to rank well for a page, I will run it through IBP also.

does anyone know the date SEO netlinks is coming out? i heard it’s an amazing way to generate tons of traffic

Thanks for the tool. Are meta tags still important?
Correct me if I’m wrong: Meta tags, especially title tags, are still important. Keyword tags are not as important.
Thanks
deauxmain on Mon, 14th Feb 2011 1:16 pm
Hi Susie, you are correct…most search engines don’t pay much attention to meta tags any more, so stuffing with a bunch of keywords is not going to help. The title tag is still very important…probably the most important thing on the page…so make it a good one. Thanks for stopping by.
Richard on Thu, 19th May 2011 5:53 am
I agree, the title tag still carries a lot of weight and am amazed how many of my clients sites don’t optimise it at all!
deauxmain on Thu, 19th May 2011 6:12 am
Yes, most people don’t put any thought at all into titles, descriptions and URLs. So easy to do, and will still make an impact on your SEO.
Sam Orchard on Fri, 20th May 2011 4:48 pm
The meta description tag is one of the most neglected. Sure, it doesn’t help with your rankings, but it’s your chance to sell your website to the user – it’s your chance to entice the user to click that link and visit your website.
What’s the point in ranking #1 if noone clicks?
deauxmain on Fri, 20th May 2011 7:10 pm
Excellent point Sam…I agree totally. Thanks ~ Bruce

I started using the plugin, because a friend suggested that I start using it. Results showed that there was an improvement on my site. I also use high pr links and started ranking, still going up in ranks… and yes the meta keyword and meta tags, along with the meta description, they are a must, I was fortunate to learn the Meta information. I definitely use it everytime.
